Day Three: Disney Hollywood Studios, Dinner in Downtown Disney, & A Little Night Swimming
We spent day three at Hollywood Studios. This was such a cool park. For the little ones, there were more shows than rides, but these shows were phenomenal! First we checked out the Disney Clubhouse show. This one included all the Disney characters from playhouse Disney: Little Einsteins, Handy Manny, and Winnie the Pooh. The characters (like automated puppets) and cast members were terrific in the show, but the extra effects made it perfect! Handy Manny was fixing a bubble machine, and when he fixed it, the entire room filled with bubbles. When Pooh was getting the kite out of the tree, leaves fell into the audience from up above. Jenna and Kara loved this one! Next we took in The Voyage of the Little Mermaid. Again, Ariel and all of the other cast members performed like pros, and the music was stellar. The "theater" was like an underground water cave complete with reflections, mist, and bubbles! Lastly, we saw a Broadway style production of Beauty and the Beast. Amazingly, both girls watched intently through the entire show. For adults, this park had a few amazing offerings. The Tower of Terror was terrifyingly fun, and the Aerosmith Rock and Roller Coaster was a wild ride. The adults had as much fun as the kiddies!
This was Grandmama and Pap's date night, so Jon and I took this girls into downtown Disney for dinner. We got to ride a little boat over to the Downtown areas and have dinner at Paradiso 47; it has just opened a few days before. We finished off the evening with a little late night swimming, and within minutes of changing into their pajamas, the girls were out like little lights. Disney offers up lots of fun and excitement AND exhaustion! :-)
The BB Boutique gives you your money's worth! :-)
Early Bird- Ready to Go!
She woke up Saying, "Kawa go Disney World!"
The Princess sash was still a must!
Ready for Hollywood Studios!
The Sit & Stand Stroller was like their own personal limo all week. :-)
While she has only had this cursed little thing at night since November, she became quite attached to it on the trip. After several experiences where she SCREAMED for it in the midst of hundreds of Disney strangers, we opted to give in for the week. It is going to disappear or become broken VERY soon!
The Coolest Ride at Hollywood
I thought it was even better that the Aerosmith coaster. Of course, it is an adult only attraction- lots of scary fun!
The Princess in her "Royal Swim" Attire
Special late night swim for the girls
However, it was not very long until neither of them could deny the serenade of slumber; it had been another long day!
