Day Six: Magic Kingdom and a Farewell Dinner at Ohana
We spent our last day at Disney in the Magic Kingdom. We took the opportunity to visit some of the "lands" like frontier and adventure land that we had not yet explored. We also took the advice of other parents and lined up outside of Toontown at 8:30 AM (it did not open until 9:45) to be first in line to meet Tinkerbell. Apparently Tinkerbell and her fairy friends are Disney's HOT commodity right now. Grandmama and Papa held our place in line for 1/2 of the time while we rode the Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (formerly Mr. Toad's Wild Ride) and took a a final spin in the Tea Cups. The Pooh ride was a bit psychedelic with black lights and neon colors- it was dream concept, but both girls were diggin' the Tea Cups this time around!
Back to Tink Tink... we were 3rd in line to meet her. The girls loved her and the other fairies, so from our perspective it was worth the wait since we didn't actually "wait" the whole time. However, when we exited the attraction the line was over 2 1/2 hours long; we were only in there for about ten minutes! I was so glad that we got there early because there is no Disney character worth that kind of wait when standing in line with a two year old. All I could think was, "bless the hearts of those poor parents in that line!"
The Magic Carpet ride was also a big hit with the girls, and Jenna acted like she was meeting a superstar when they met Aladdin and Princess Jasmine. Jenna kind of has a thing for Aladdin though she is not nearly as fond of him as she is sweet little Joe at church. She is quite sure that she will marry one of them, but for now Aladdin is her husband and Joe is her "boyfriend"! Yes, we have explained on many occasions that one- she may not have a boyfriend and two- she may not ever have both a boyfriend and a husband! :-)
We had dinner reservations for Ohana (which means family) at the Polynesian Resort that evening. This was a very unique, fun dining experience. Everything is served family style and revolves around the Hawaiian theme. Jenna and Grandmama were Hawaiian limbo pros by the end of the night, and the girls loved getting leis. Jenna got a special birthday cake treat and we finished off the night by riding (in the front with the captain) of the monorail. The girls were awarded a license and a monorail captain sticker for riding up front. Our last day in Disney was like each of the days before- full of precious memories and lots of fun!
They are just a little pumped up about meeting Tinkerbell!

It was obvious that when returning home, the girls were going to suffer from major Papa & Grandmama withdrawal, and they have!
