Happy Easter!
We had a great Easter weekend. Saturday we went to the kiddie program at church where the girls learned about the twelve wonders of Easter by participating in a story walk through; it was really an amazing way to teach the little ones about Jesus' last days on earth and his Resurrection. We wrapped up the experience by eating hot dogs, jumping in the bouncy house, and hunting a few eggs. The girls had a great time and were especially happy to have their cousin Ella join them in the fun! We rounded out the day by dyeing our eggs and laying out our Easter baskets for that mysterious floppy eared friend!

Sunday we had the Easter church service in which the choir performed a beautiful, moving musical. Jenna had the opportunity to sit in on "big church" with us, and she was such a good girl. Kara and Jenna gave their Annie Armstrong offering at the end of the service as the preschoolers dropped their money eggs in a basket; this went better than I expected, as Kara behaved herself perfectly for over 10 minutes. I was obviously prepared for a little drama from my more spirited baby!
This is how Kara felt about pictures on Easter morning!
We enjoyed lunch with G-Pa, G-Ma, Aunt Devonne, and all the aunts and uncles on that side of the family. The girls were showered with Easter goodies from
Nana and G-Pa & G-Ma. It looks like we, make that they, are going to be eating candy for quite awhile around here. Aunt Katie and Aunt Devonne helped with egg hiding and egg finding, and the girls LOVED this aspect of the holiday. They like it so much that I am fairly convinced that I could do away with all of their toys in exchange for a couple of .99 packs of plastic eggs!
